The Basics

At 1,750 square feet, this massive glass conservatory is one of the most sought-after wedding and event destinations in the Midwest.

Commercial-grade aluminum framing, energy-efficient glazing, and expansive bi-fold doors from Solar Innovations combine to create this stunning architectural achievement.

What was the vision?

A completely custom, full-glass conservatory that would serve as a defining architectural focal point for Shinola Hotel and the city of Detroit.

Skyview Detroit took on this massive installation project, which involved cordoning off city streets, craning heavy framing and precarious sheets of glass two stories up, and the precise installation of every pane of glass to ensure proper seals and eliminate leaks and drafts in this space.

Explore the solutions.
