Welcome to Salt Springs Brewery. This restaurant and brewhouse located in Saline wanted to elevate a large existing patio space into an outdoor oasis for year-round guest enjoyment.

The Basics
Salt Springs Brewery is a truly unique guest experience.
The restaurant is in a century-old former church, where guests enjoy craft beers and food surrounded by original stained glass and classic Gothic architecture. The team at Salt Springs has updated the space to incorporate modern design elements, a dining room, and a full-service bar. Now, the Salt Springs experience can be found outside, too.
Upgrading the existing patio makes Salt Springs feel complete. A motorized, four-zone XL StruXure Pivot 6 Pergola System frames the 960-square-foot space. And to ensure year-round use, this customized pergola was enclosed and fitted with a massive MagnaTrack Solar Screen System.

What was the vision?
A large, fully capable, covered patio space that can transform based on weather conditions.
But the Salt Springs team wanted more than a year-round patio. The space needed to be sleek, modern, and eye-catching — and an investment that keeps beer enthusiasts coming back. After collaboration between Salt Springs and Skyview Detroit, a StruXure pergola system, MagnaTrack screen system, and Bromic heaters were selected to deliver the vision.

The XL StruXure Pivot 6 Pergola System used for this project features motorized louvers for sunlight or protection at the push of a button. That means restaurant-goers can always enjoy outdoor seating — no matter how the Michigan forecast fluctuates. The StruXure System is also engineered and built to handle everything from heavy rain to blustering winds.

MagnaTrack Screens
Next, a MagnaTrack Solar Screen System was installed to enclose each zone of the pergola. These screens are also motorized and crafted to block harmful UV rays while retaining warmth in the year-round space. Custom Bromic heaters offer added functionality and guarantee that only the beer is cold, not the guests.
This project at Salt Springs is a wonderful example of how a StruXure pergola can be a true investment in a business.
